Traditional Shutter Measurement Guide
These shutters are NOT designed to fit inside the window or door recess but are designed to sit over the top of the window or door recess as shown in the diagram
In the diagram note how the shutters fit on the outside of the recess. It is this recess measurement that you need to enter when purchasing a blind.
Please use a metal tape measure to take measurements and use centimetres to the nearest 0.1cm.
Measuring the Recess
- Take 3 measurements for the width of the window or door recess as shown in the picture.
- Take the largest of these measurements.
- Do the same for the drop, again taking the largest measurement.
- When you enter the recess size into the price calculator we will show you the different options available for this recess size
- There needs to be a minimum of 2cm clearance either side of the recess and also at the top of the recess, this is automatically added to the measurements given.
