Hold the blind up to the window in the position you would like your blind to hang. Mark where the hooks at the top of the blind fit to the window. Drill small holes at the marks.
If your bamboo blind is too wide for your window it may be trimmed with a fine bladed saw like a hacksaw. Make sure you cut equal amounts of each side of the blind being careful not to cut through the string bindings.
Install the screw hooks into the small holes you drilled. If necessary use a pair of pliers to tighten the screw hooks.
With the pulleys and lock clamp facing the inside of the room, hang the blind on the screw hooks. Tug on the lock to loosen it and let the blind unroll to its full length. Even the cords on both sides.
Find a spot on the wall near to the blind where the cord cleat is easily reached. Mark this spot where the cleat will be. Drill small holes at these marks. Fasten the cleat to the walls with the small wood screws.
Sheet metals screws may hold better in plaster walls and can be obtained from a hardware store if required.
Pull the bind to the desired length and tie the cord to the cleat. Save extra cord as replacement cord.
These individual tassle cords reduce the strangulation hazard in the pull cord by removing the loop.
Do not tie the cords together. Check cords periodically to make sure the cords have not twisted into a loop.
This device will not prevent strangulation hazard if young children wrap pull cords around their necks.
Always keep cords out of the reach of young children, use the cleat provided or any of these devices available
at local hardware or window covering stores:
1. Clamp or clothes peg
2. Tie cord to itself
